There are two livestock shows this month that are very important to the Dewey community! All of the students showing at these would love if you came out and showed your support! The first one, Spring Fling, is this Saturday, the 15th. It is only open to Dewey FFA students and Dewey 4-H. The show starts at 10 AM, it will start with pigs, goats, sheep and then cattle.

The next show is the Washington County Junior Livestock Show. It starts on the 23rd and will continue to the 30th. It is open to any FFA/4-H member in Washington County. The swine show will be on Thursday(27th) at 10 AM followed by the sheep at 6 PM. The goat show will be Friday(28th) at 9 AM followed by cattle at 2 PM. Showmanship will be in between these times. The master-showman show, all the students who won showmanship for their group, will be at 6 PM that day. One of the pretty important parts of county is the premium sale, you will show your animal in front of a group of “buyers”. When they buy your animal, its not that they get to take it home. They are basically sponsoring you and your animal. You can receive money from this that can go towards anything you might need for showing! I hope to see everyone there supporting!
