Savin Lives at Dewey High

Shyanne Offutt

Friday, February 6th, our student council, who is sponsored by Mrs. Eastwood, put on one of their annual blood drives. This week, Mrs. Eastwood gave us all of the information about the blood drive. They had 36 people donate blood; 22 of them were new donors! Between all of them, they collected 32 units of blood. So, how many lives were saved? One person can save 3 lives, so in total, Dewey High School saved 96 lives! “The most people we’ve had donate was around 45,” she told us.
