California has declared a state of emergency after announcing it’s first death from the coronavirus, bringing the U.S. death toll to 11. The 71 year old man had underlying health problems and had been on a cruise ship that had been to China. 11 passengers and 10 crew members are all at risk of getting infected. They are being held off the coast of California. There are now 150 reported U.S. patients with covid-19 in 16 states. Worldwide, authorities have confirmed more than 92,000 cases of the virus. 80,000 of which have all been in China. More than 3,000 people have died globally, the majority being in China where the virus originated.
