Is Curtesy Still Common Today?

I like to see myself as a polite person to others who for example, hold a door for me. As I hold a door for every woman I can as that’s how I was raised, it became like a permanent thing for me. But I, unfortunately, don’t see it as much as I use to when I was little. As it seems not everyone but some or maybe most people forget about holding doors for kids, or women. If someone can not take two seconds to hold a door or call someone sir, or ma’am then to me that’s sad. Is it really that important that you can’t show an act of kindness towards so you don’t have to talk to people, or take two seconds out of your day to let someone behind you go in front of you?
