Dewey Shuts Out Nowata

TJ Campbell

The Dewey Bulldoggers traveled to Nowata last Friday night to play their rivals the Ironmen. The Bulldoggers fought hard and pulled off the win 32-0. Our defense played very well and had a big impact on the win. Dallas Mullikin made a great special teams play and had an onside kick recovery. Colby Henley had two touchdowns and had 174 total yards. Hayden Thornton had one touchdown and caught three passes and had 109 total yards. Kale Carner completed 6-of-13 passes for 213 yards. Blade Jacobson also had one touchdown and ran for 60 yards. In total the Bulldoggers had 222 yards. This is the fourth year in a row that Dewey has beat Nowata.

Although this rivalry game runs deep, both teams came together in support of the National Guard, sporting special National Guard jerseys on the field.
